Trick Tip / Backside Tail Slides with Michael Lawlor

Ever wonder how to do a backside tail slide? Hopefully this helps you learn how. I chose this trick because it is my favorite slide trick. There’s something about not seeing where you’re sliding. Kinda makes me feel all warm & fuzzy inside.

Hoard Face Killah

So this is my good friend Brian Hoard. He filmed this part for Deca Skateboards & it was released some 10 years ago. I’ve been skating with Brian for over 15 years. Last time I skated with him (a week ago) he was doing 5-0 tre flip out, along with some crazy switch front side double flips & half cab double flips. He can pretty much do any trick you can think of & then some you can’t think of. He was my roommate while he did this video part & when I would tell some of the local veteran pros what had been going down @ our lil’ skate sessions, we were looked upon as liars & posers. When the proof dropped about the nollie heel over the table, the vibes in Los Angeles were a little awkward for some of those skeptics. Through all the bullshit & industry hype junkies, Brian has just been having fun with it the whole time & honestly I don’t see him stopping any time soon. PEEP UVT GAME.

TRINITY CREATIVE X US VERSUS THEM X PUBLIC HOUSE

Thank you all to everyone who attended our art show last Thursday. It was a privilege to have the opportunity to bring our creative energy to Old Town Temecula. Extra special thanks to Tori Stiles, Kaely and Ryan from Public House. Without our supporters, this event wouldn’t have been made possible. Big Ups to James Banuelos for taking the first steps in putting together one of the many artistic events to come to Public House. Much Love.

For all those who couldn’t make it, here is a sneak peak at some of the works by Trinity Creative.

Check out one of my favorite artists right now, THE CREATIVE WORKS OF TORI STILES.
Along with THE CREATIVE WORKS OF MYSELF.

TRE BOMB

Here is a slide I found in my shaving kit. It is kind of a crappy scan but figured I’d share it either way. I dig on 360 flips. I think this was shot in 2002-2003. It’s really cool to see people skating picnic tables again in new videos. There’s just something creative about real street skating. Taking an object in your hood that was made for one thing and using it for something totally different. With all the skate hype and parks popping up, I can dig real street skating even more. Just make sure you keep an eye out for that po po.

“29 Frames” Riding The Bench Switch Stylee

After being sick for about a month and nursing a sprained knee, I’m finally feeling 85% better. This was my 2nd day back on the board in quite a while. I skateboard because it feels good. It’s super fun.!!!

Sk8boarding is in my blood…

This day was on a weekend day after working about 5-6, 12-16 hour days. I believe it was the following Sunday. My good friend James saw me drunk as a skunk sitting on the couch that day. He says, “Beektown, what the fuck are you doing drinking when I want to go shoot photos at the pool.?!!!”. I replied, “Chill bro, it’s my day off”. He then dragged my ass to the pool & said, “Alright drunky, now go skate that fucker!!!”. I then looked at him with a smirk on my face, pointed to the sky and said, “Skyyyz”, and dropped in. These photos are just a few of the many James shot that day. He has a gifted eye for imagery. I can honestly say that if it weren’t for James, I wouldn’t have shredded that Sunday. In today’s starving economy and me being the beekman that I am, always biting off more than I can chew, my plate overflows with work leaving me never knowing when I get to ride again. I wanted to add this post to say thank you. To Graham, Mike & James for giving me an outlet to express myself & for pushing me to keep pushing on my board. I have been skateboarding longer than a lot of you have been alive and I truly hope to inspire you to do as I do. Skate hard & never stop.!!! The sky is the limit.

Good Old Friends

Check out my old homie Curtis’ website. He just had a photog / art show in Tokyo, Japan. I’ve known him since he was in kindergarten. We’ve kept in touch & are still friends after all these years. It was nice to catch up with him. He is truly living the dream. Good Shit Curt Dogg.!!! We gonna shred soon :)

DJ CRAZE x MESSINIAN x CASUAL

I shot this low key interview & performance a few years ago. It was going to be used for a pilot for a TV Show called Clockwise. I still want to do another show concept. I like shooting artists. This was an awesome night & I got to see some really cool original art in the VIP rooms but that footage you cannot see ; )

EVIDENCE x SWOLLEN MEMBERS EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

I had the pleasure of linking up with Evidence & Swollen members @ Fat Beats in Hollywood a while back. These dudes were really cool & seemed very focused on their passion for their music. More exclusive interviews to come so stay tuned….

THANKSGIVING WEEKEND IN HOLLYWOOD

I had an awesome Thanksgiving weekend in Hollywood this year just as I do every year!

Enjoy these images of BARRY McGEE aka TWISTER’s work in his Los Angeles Gallery.

I saw one of his pieces worth $450,000 and had a dead bird applied to it.

Very trippy, I recommend you all go see it.

• SKATE & DESTROY •

Check out some of my old footage. If you keep skateboarding like I have, you may look back on your old footage as a time capsule. Kind of like a video yearbook. It makes me think of the great times I had with my friends & will continue to have living in the spirit wave of switch heels & dolphin flips… Grab a board & shred it, And feel good about it.
